VCDS specializes in diagnostic software for European automobiles. For 2019 and newer models, a current-generation interface like the HEX-NET or HEX-V2 is fully required.
Legacy interfaces such as the HEX+CAN and Micro-CAN will not work properly with 2019 and newer model cars. Upgrading to one of the robust newer platforms (HEX-V2 or HEX-NET) is recommended.
For most modern 64-bit systems, drivers are included in the default installation. Choosing to 'Install USB Drivers for Legacy Interfaces' is only needed for older platforms and is not available on ARM-architecture devices.
